Snow and Ice

Last week I went on a road trip with a bunch of friends up to the beautiful land of Idaho. No, we didn't go to Cache Valley, but Caldwell and McCall are almost as good. Every year there is an ice sculpture contest in McCall. They bring in these huge blocks of ice and carve amazing sculptures with them. Heidi's from Caldwell and her family goes to the festival every year, so we loaded a couple of cars with lots of fun people and drove the 6 hours up to her house.

I was so sick the week before and almost didn't go. But luckily Heidi is very persuasive and convinced me that I should go and that no one else would get sick (she lied...pretty much everyone got sick! Oops!) So I packed a lot of medicine and sucked on cough drops the whole weekend, and I'm so glad I went.

The sculptures were awesome! The theme this year was "Fantasy Land" so there were lots of castles and dragons, and even a life-sized Candyland board game! I love road trips! What a fun weekend!
