Car Wreck

I've decided that I recently reached another milestone in my life. Despite what some people might say, I am a very good driver. I have never had a ticket (Although, I did get pulled over one night at 3:00 in the morning in Iowa. I think the cop thought we were drunk. We weren't, but it's a good story....You should ask me about it sometime.) I've also never been in a car wreck...until now.

So, about a month ago, I went up to the Draper Temple Open house. It was absolutely beautiful! We got there at the perfect time and went right up to the temple and didn't have to wait at all. I've decided that sometimes it pays to be late. :) The temple is gorgeous and very elegant! And there are lots of amazing pictures of Jerusalem, especially the Garden Tomb. I loved it! Afterward we went out to eat at Cafe Rio. And that's when it happened...

I got in my car to head back to Provo, and while I was checking my phone, I was suddenly jerked forward as a lady in a big old monster of a truck tried to take the parking spot next to mine, turned to sharply, and smashed into my back drives side bumper! My poor car ended up with a huge crack in it! I was so sad!! Luckily, no one was hurt (expect my poor car!) but we still had to call the cops, file a report and everything.

So instead of being early for a date I had that night, I was about an hour late. Oops...maybe it's not always so good to be late. But he was very patient, and sympathetic and listened to my sob story, then took me to see a movie about Jerusalem, and drank hot chocolate with me afterward. I felt much better by the end of the night.

And now, after working it out with the insurance company, and driving a rental car around for a few days, I have my beautiful red car back, good as new. Yay!!!
