Nauvoo the Beautiful
Welcome to Nauvoo! It's soooo pretty here! It took me a little while to get used to being out here. My friend has a two week rule that I think I'm going to adopt - she doesn't make any decisions about being in new situations until she's been there for at least two weeks. I think that's how I am too. But after being here for a little while, I'm really starting to like it a lot. There is a lot to see and a lot of history and a lot to take pictures of.
It is so lush and green here. I feel like I'm in the middle of the forest. I was watching the fireflys the other night (I love fireflys!) and two deer walked right across the yard. When I go running in the morning there are animals everywhere. :)
Check it out - its the Mississippi River! The sunset's on the Mississippi are incredible. I'll get some pics of those up soon.

My New Favorite!
I found this song the other day on my friends blog and I've seriously been listening to it non stop ever since. (Thanks for the link Annie!) I shared it with my roommates back in Provo and they loved it too and we had it playing constantly on repeat in our apartment for over a week. I made the mistake of pulling it up again yesterday and it's stuck in my head again...but I can't get over it - it's just SO good.
Jon Schmidt (who I absolutely LOVE) combined Taylor Swift's "Love Story" with Coldplay's Viva La Vida. The transition between the two songs is so incredible! You have to listen to it!
I wish I could put the actual video up here, but I can't figure out how. So I'll just have to put up the link.

This is me at a Jon Schmidt concert at BYU. You can see him talking on his cell phone behind me! :)
*Just a side note* I love both of these original songs. If you listen to the words of Viva La Vida it talks about the Jerusalem bells - and Yes, I did play those bells while I was in Jerusalem. :)
